Our Mentors:



This is Barry A. He has helped the team for 9 years the same amount of time as Mr.Clark. He specialized in helping around the shop, mostly the drive train mechanics. He has learned to plan early and always have a back up plan for spare parts while he was on the team. Outside of helping the team, he enjoys playing piano and he likes to life weights.
Dave H has helped with the team for 9 years, and is a mechanical engineer. Dave’s specialties are pneumatics, mechanism design, trade studies and CAD. Dave has learned that the students in FIRST are extremely creative and like to think outside of the box because they don’t realize a box even exists. Outside of the team, Dave enjoys playing ice hockey, golf, tennis, and playing with his 9 month old son.
This is David C., a teacher here at Monarch. He has been with the team for 9 years. He specializes in project managment and CAD. After all of his time here, he has learned that teenagers are much more capable them most give them credit for. Outside of the team he likes gardening, woodworking, and playing his bagpipes.
This is Roger B. He has helped the team for 9 years. He specializes in helping around the shop. He has learned from his years here that he actually enjoys working with students. Outside of helping the team he enjoys walking his dog before the sunrise and hanging out with his wife Jill.
This is Jeff D. He has been with this team for 4 years. He specializes in programming the bot and helping the electrical team. He has learned in his time her that "When there's a problem in the game-dance!" When asked what he does outside of robotics he replied "There's other things than robotics?"
This is Josè C. He has been on the team for 2 years now. He specializes in mechanical engineering. During his time with us, he has learned high schoolers have access to a lot of tools and that there is a lot of emphasis on using the right one for the right job. Outside of the team he likes playing racquetball and skiing.
This is Leon R. He has helped the team for the past 3 years. He specializes in programming the bot. One of the things he has learned in the time with us is to use the LabVIEW. Out side of helping our robotics team he likes to read books and program other projects.
This is Mark C. This is his first year on the team. He is experienced in mechanical build. He has learned that challenges are very similar for alot of teams around the country. He likes to spend time with his family and he likes traviling and visiting fhis family and friends.
